Starting from version 3.9.0, Aimy Sitemap PRO interacts with Aimy Canonical, a free Joomla! plugin of ours that allows you to set the preferred domain name and protocol (http/https) for your website.
Aimy Sitemap automatically picks the canonical information up from the
plugin’s configuration and uses it when generating your sitemap.
When writing your sitemap.xml file to disk, you will get a short notice
on what domain name and/or protocol has been retrieved from Aimy Canonical.
This way, your sitemap will be always in sync with your website's canonical link tags when you use both extensions on your Joomla! website - without any extra work required!
